Where the tales begin

As a reporter for The Bryan Times, it seems like I learn something new every day. I hope our readers do too, and today you can learn about me. Here is my tale in a nutshell.

I am Williams County born and raised. I grew up in rural Edgerton and graduated from Edgerton High School in 2004. Then I went on to Bowling Green State University where I earned a degree in journalism. After some soul-searching, I decided that Northwest Ohio was where I belonged. In May 2008, on my last day of finals at BGSU, I got a phone call with a job offer from The Times, and I've been there since.

My husband and I were married last October, and we live in Edon with our two goldfish.

I report mainly on education and farm news for the paper, but I don't consider myself an expert capable of giving a qualified opinion on either of those topics.

I do, however, love to write so starting a blog seemed like a good idea. As the youngest reporter in the newsroom, I hope to share some new and interesting views on …
